| abstract | A new genus Amarucoptes, and a new species Amarucoptes busannae, found in Peru on undetermined Passalidae is described. For the first time this heterocoptid mite was recorded from the Neotropical region and for the first time heterocoptids were obtained from passalid beetles. |
