abstractParawinterschimdtia gen.n. (type species. Calvolia kneissli Krausse) and 3 new species of mites of the genus Winterschmidtia (W. chaetoptelii sp.n., W. villifronsi sp.n. and W. zachvatkini sp.n.) are described. Winterschmidtia hamadryas (Vitzthum, 1923), W. brenyi (Cooreman, 1963),W. nataliae (Zachvatkin, 1941) and Parawinterchmidtia kneissli (Krausse, 1919) are recorded for the first time from Ukraine. The genus name Afrocalvolia Fain et Elsen, 1971 is synonymised with Winterschmidtia Oudemans, 1923. Types of new species are deposited at the department of Agroecology, Nikita State Botanical Garden (Yalta).
