| abstract | This author describes six new species of the genus Trachytes: T. aegrotasimilis, T. nortoni, T. marilynae, T. lindquisti, T. krantzi and T. canadiensis); these species were found in a material sampled on the Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada). In the same material there were also found three species new for the Canadian fauna: Urodiaspis lindquisti Hirschmann, 1979, Urodiaspis walkeri Hirschmann and Zirngiebl-Nicol, 1969 and Discourella sellnicki Hirschmann and Zirngiebl-Nicol, 1969 and two species new for the science belonging to the genus Castiidynichus Hirschmann, 1973; this genus was known so far only from South America and Australia; the last two species together with a new species of the genus Uropoda will be described in a next paper. The species Trichouropoda canadainterstructura Hirschmann, 1978 was re-found for the first time after its description from Canada. |
