| abstract | The rhodacaroid genus Laelaptonyssus is rediagnosed and descriptions are provided for two new species: Laelaptonyssus setosus sp. nov. from the host termites Reticulitermes flavipes and Laelaptonyssus hallidayi sp. nov. from Porotermes adamsoni. Morphological observations supporting the validity of Womersleyʼs family Laelaptonyssidae are presented, along with a key to known species and notes on biological relationships. |
