abstractThree new genera and ten new species of Eriophyoidea associated with palm trees (Arecaceae) are illustrated and described from Brazil. Two new genera and seven new species are in the family Eriophyidae - Aceria gymnoscuta n. sp. from Syagrus flexuosa and Syagrus cocoides; Aceria biornata n. sp. from Acrocomia aculeata; Aceria translinea n. sp. from Syagrus romanzoffiana and Attalea dubia; Proartacris longior n. sp. from Butia eriospatha; Schizacea geonomae n. sp. from Geonoma sp.; Nasuchus pindobates n. gen., n. sp. from Geonoma gamiova and Glabrisceles euterpis n. gen., n. sp. from Euterpe edulis. One new genus and three new species belong to the family Phytoptidae - Palmiphytoptus oculatus n. gen., n. sp. from Astrocaryum aculeatissimum; Acathrix lobata n. sp. from Geonoma schottiana and Geonoma sp. and Propilus pellitus n. sp. from Lytocaryum hoehnei.
