abstractCollection records of phytoseiid mites from natural ecosystems in the island of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) are reported. Descriptions are presented for six new species, Kampimodromus adrianae n. sp., K. echii n. sp., Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) maspalomensis n. sp., Neoseiulella canadensis n. sp., N. splendida n. sp. and N. elongata n. sp., and nine species are reported for the first time for the islands. Information on host plants and geographical distribution for all the species are given.
