abstractThe three new species of oribatids belonging to primitive groups are described from the Philippines, namely: Haplochthonius stylosanthes, Spaerochthonius lipataensis and Mixacarus facundoi. Five previously described species in the genera Ctenacarus, Eniochthonuis, Haplochtnonius, and Trhypochthoniellus are recorded as new to the country. Previous erroneous records of Eohypochthonius gracilis (non Jacot 1936) are corrected as E. crassisetiger Aoki. Descriptions and illustrations are provided for all included species.
