| abstract | The gall mites found on trees of Turkish hazelnut (Corylus colurna L.) in Bruchsal (Badenwürttemberg, Germany) are studied. Eight species are recorded, two of them are new to science: One is named as Acería corylicolurnae n.sp.; the other, Eriophyes sp. is described but not named since the type specimens have been lost. The other species are redescribed: Acutus comatus (Nalepa, 1892), Cecidophyopsis vermiformis (Nalepa, 1889), Eriophyes tristriatus (Nalepa, 1889), Phyllocoptes coryli (Liro, 1931), Phytoptus avellanae (Nalepa, 1889) and Tegonotus depressus (Nalepa, 1894). Illustrations are provided for all the species recorded. |
