| abstract | Two new species of the previously monotypic genus Hygrobatopsis from South Africa are described. These are Hygrobatopsis (Hygrobatopsis) sudafricana n. sp. and Hygrobatopsis (Hygrobatopsella) bella n. subgen., n. sp., the latter so distinct from the former and the type species H. levipalpis that the new subgenus Hygrobatopsella is proposed. A revised generic diagnosis is included. |
