abstractTwo new species of scutacarid mites, Archidispus chujoi and A. tonegawanus spp. nov. are described from Japan based on phoretomorphic females found on the cervical membran between head and prothorax, or intersegmental membrane between pro- and mesothorax of carabid beetles mainly belonging to the tribes Pterostichini and Harpalini.
