abstractIn Minufiya Governorate, Egypt, ten new tarsonemine mite species of the families Siteroptidae; Microdispidae; Pygmephoridae and Scutacaridae are described and illustrated These are: Siteroptes badeehae sp.n., Brennandania assali sp. n., Bakerdania zohdii sp.n., Imparipes elnabwyi sp. n., Imparipes omari sp.n., Imparipes zakii sp.n., Scutacarus hendyi sp. n., Scutacarus abdelrahimi sp.n. and Scutacarus abotakai sp.n.
The specimens were collected from soil under garlic; potato; taro; onion and sweet potato. Male of Bakerdania fatmae sp.n. is also described and figured.
