abstract1. A new genus of Acarina, Manisilaelaps, and a new species, Manisilaelaps coronis, belonging to the family Laelaptidae (suborder Parasitiformes), are described from a three-cusped or pale-bellied pangolin, Manis tricuspis Raf., in the British Cameroons.
2. Haemolaelaps spatuliformis sp.nov., a new species of Haemolaelaps (family Laelaptidae), is described from a flying suirrel, Anomalurus fraseri Waterh., in the British Cameroons.
3. Steatonyssus brucei sp.nov., a new speices of Steatonyssus (family Dermanyssidae), is describde from a bat, Nycteris sp., in Northern Nigeria.
