| abstract | Additional data are presented on the taxonomy of Philippine predatory mites of the family Cunaxidae, including descriptions of eight new species: 2 of Neoscirula (N. laboensis Corpuz-Raros, N. taclobanensis Corpuz-Raros) in the subfamily Bonziinae and 1 Cunaxoides (C. philippinensis Corpuz-Raros), 1 Neocunaxoides (N. biramus Corpuz-Raros) and 4 Pulaeus (P cebuensis Corpuz-Raros, P. palawanensis Corpuz-Raros, P. polilloensis Corpuz-Raros, P. samarensis Corpuz-Raros) in the subfamily Cunaxoidinae. Pulaeus parapatzcuarensis (Shiba) is recorded as new to the country and the male of Coleoscirus horidula (Tseng) is described for the first time. Keys are provided to Philippine species of Neoscirula and to the genera and species of the subfamily Cunaxoidinae. |
