| abstract | The morphology of three new predatory mites beonging to the genus Amblyseius, Phytoseiulus and Typhlodromus respectively is being described and illustrations are listed, and each species is separated from the other closest related sort. Amblyseius rademacheri n.sp. was found at Stuttgart-Hohenheim on an apple tree while Phytoseiulus riegeli n.sp. and Typhlodromus chilenensis n.sp. is the variety of Eichhornia crassipes which originates from Chile. The biology of each of the mites is being discussed in view of the development of the individual stages at different temperatures, the highest quantity of eggs, the average amount of food per day and the dependence from a given amount of food. |
