abstractA key is given to the species of these subfamilies found on strawberries in central California, the Phytoseiinae being represented by nine species in three genera, the Aeeosejinae by two species in two genera. Two new species are described in Amblyseius, two in Typhlodromus, and one in Lasioseius, and Phytoseiulus speyeri Evans is placed in synonymy under P. macropilis (Banks). Some earlier specific misidentifications are corrected, and several erroneous interpretations of the chaetotaxy of Amblyseius are rectified.
