abstractThree new species of Phyllhermannia are described from the Philippines, viz., P. curvata Corpuz-Raros & Gruèzo n. sp., P. filipina Corpuz-Raros & Gruèzo n. sp. (= P. kanoi, non Aoki 1959) and P. leytensis Corpuz-Raros & Gruèzo n. sp. Comparisons of notogastral chaetotaxy among Philippine and extra-Philippine species show two patterns based mainly on differences among the anterior c- and d-setae. Chaetotaxy of leg segments is detailed for P. filipina compared with other Philippine species and shown to be an additional source of taxonomic characters for species identification in the genus. Four species are transferred from Hermannia or Hermannia (Phyllhermannia) as follows: Phyllhermannia dinghuensis (Lu & Wang) n. comb., P. fungifer (Mahunka) n. comb., P. heterotricha (Mahunka) n. comb. and P. neotricha (Woas) n. comb.
