| abstract | Adults of Gereckea columbiensis n. gen., n. sp. are described from montane streams on Vancouver Island, British Columbia and coastal Washington state. The new taxon is placed in the subfamily Huitfeldtiinae of the family Pionidae and a revised diagnosis is proposed for the subfamily. This taxonomic placement is discussed in light of apparent relationships of the new taxon with previously described species of Huitfeldtiinae. |
