abstractEremaeozetes betschi n.sp collected from Madagascar, in the dense and wet Ankarongambe forest (central east of Tamatave Province), at 900 m high is described from the adult stasis. This species, the first species described in the genus for the area, differs from its congeners by the following set of characters: cerotegument with deep rounded-oval hollows of various size and flat parts; lamella fused together, covering entirely the prodorsum, verreaching posteriorly the dorso-sejugal suture; anterior part of lamella bending toward the ventral side; posterior amellar expansion present; le setae paraxial, lateral and criss-cross; on the prodorsum only the ro and le setae present; bothidia with lateral opening; anterior process of notogaster ear shaped; apical part of pteromorph turning down on the epimeric zone; lenticle further off the dorsosejugal suture; 10 pairs of notogastral setae; epimeric zone with flat part at level of acetabulum IV and epimeric borders flat; legs tridactyl.
