abstractThe genus Hydrodroma Koch, 1837 in Australia consists of six species, the newly described H. meridionalis sp.n. included. The new species is discribed from 45 sampling sites from running waters in Queensland, Victoria, New Southern Wales, Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia. furthermore, a key for the identification of species of Hydrodroma occurring in Australia is given.
