| abstract | Among the thirteen species of mites belonging to family Tarsonemidae described in this paper, two new genera: Cheylotarsonemus and Neosteneotarsonemus were recognized and described, and six species: Tarsonemus wani, Xenotarsonemus rivalis, Steneotarsonemus chiaoi, S. pulchellus, Cheylotarsonemus minutus, and Neosteneotarsonemus mirabilis were new and described here for the first time. Four previously described species from elsewhere, Tarsonemus smithi, T. gramineus, Steneotarsonemus furcatus, and Fungitarsonemus borinquensis were new records for Taiwan. |
