abstractThree new species of scutacarid mites (Acari: Pygmephoroidea: Scutacaridae), Imparipes tomentosus sp. nov., Scutacarus flexisetosimilis sp. nov., and S. aequalis sp. nov. are newly described phoretic on ants Lasius umbratus Nylander, 1846 (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) in Kurgan Province, Western Siberia, Russia. Additional information on the morphology of Imparipes sevastianovi Khaustov, 2008 (Acari: Scutacaridae) is provided.
