abstractCalyptostoma katyae sp. nov., the first named fossil species of Calyptostomatidae, is described based on a larva from the Eocene (ca. 44–50 Ma) Baltic amber. The syninclusion, a member of Limoniidae found with the newly described species, confirms the host-parasite associations known for the extant members of the family.
