| abstract | A new species of oribatid mites of the genus Malaconothrus (Oribatida, Malaconothridae) is described from forest litter in Ecuador. Malaconothrus paraweigmanni Ermilov sp. nov. differs from the most similar species, M. weigmanni Colloff, 2013 by the smaller body size, barbed notogastral setae and comparatively long anal setae. |
