| abstract | The mite Spatulaphorus gymnopleuri Sobhi & Hajiqanbar sp. nov. (Acari: Heterostigmata: Pygmephoridae) collected from under the metanotum of the host beetle, Gymnopleurus flagellatus (Fabricius 1787) (Insecta: Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) is described and illustrated from Meshgin shahr, Ardabil province, northwestern Iran. Moreover, host range of the genus is reviewed and an updated key to world species of the genus Spatulaphorus is provided. |
