| abstract | A new species of the water mite genus Sperchon Kramer, 1877 from China, Sperchon fuxiensis Zhang, sp. n., is described and illustrated in this article. DNA barcoding for the new species is documented for future use. Descriptions of both male and female of Sperchon rostratus Lundblad, 1969 are given in the present study, and DNA barcoding for identifying S. rostratus is also discussed. |
