| abstract | A new species belonging to genus Epitrimerus Nalepa from Egypt is described and illustrated, namely Epitrimerus lantanae sp. nov. from Lantana camara L. (Verbenaceae). The new species is vagrant on the lower and upper leaf surfaces of their host plant. No damage to the host was observed. A key to the species of Epitrimerus in Egypt is provided. In addition, a list of all known species of eriophyoid mites found on Lantana sp. is also provided. |
