| abstract | A new oribatid mite species, Neoribates (Neoribates) incisus sp. nov. is described from soil and litter of bamboo glass bush in Kunigami Village (Okinawa-jima Island, southwestern Japan). The new species is similar to N. (N.) parabulanovae Ermilov and Martens, 2014, but it differs from latter in having barbed, rod-like sensilli, long shallow ditch on posterior tip of notogaster, and remarkably long adanal setae ad1 and ad2. |
