| abstract | A new species of the spider mite genus Petrobia Murray, 1877 subgenus Mesotetranychus, Petrobia iranica sp. nov. is described from females, deutonymphs and protonymphs collected from Ephedra sp. in southeast of Iran (Kerman Province). This is the ninth and the second report of this subgenus for the world and Iran, respectively. A key to all known species of subgenus Mesotetranychus is also provided. |
