abstractMites of the genus Myrmozercon (Mesostigmata: Laelapidae) are usually found in association with ants in the West Palaearctic and Australasian regions. Females and a male of a new species, Myrmozercon andongensis sp. nov., were collected clinging to Camponotus japonicus Mayr (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) in the Republic of Korea. This new species is the first record of Myrmozercon from the Eastern Palearctic
