| abstract | A new species belonging to the family Acaridae, Tyrophagus hamedaniensis sp. nov., is described and illustrated from specimens collected from soil and litter beneath forest trees, Hamedan province, Iran. Also, a key to Iranian species of the genus Tyrophagus is provided. |
