| abstract | The palp chaetotaxy is described from the literature and based on original data from 49 species of 18 genera in the 8 families of Nothroidea (Oribatida). 14 palp formulae are distinguished. The regressive evolution of the palp chaetotaxy is analysed in relation to the systematical position of the 8 families in the natural group of Nothroidea. |
