| abstract | During 1985-1999 years 12 species ixodid ticks were collected with the flag trap from birds, agricultural and animals. Number of ixodid ticks is markedly increased in Kyiv for the last 8 years. From suburbs to center of the city, the number of species is clearly decreasing, while domination index of I. ricinus is increasing. D. reticulatus dominates in small urban parks. The character of distribution of tick ecological groups in A-E gradient is as follows: hole tick species dominate in suburbs, while in newly and thickly built urban areas these ticks disappear. In I. ricinus, D. reticulatus and H. concinna ticks an antigene of the pseudotuberculosis agent is detected. Borreliae are found in 104 I. ricinus ticks from 661 ones belonging to 7 species. |
