| abstract | Three new species of eriophyoid mites from South China are described and illustrated: Acadicrus sterculussp. nov. infesting Sterculia lanceolata Cav. (Sterculiaceae) belongs to the subfamily Phyllocoptinae (Eriophyidae), Diptacus cinnamomussp. nov. infesting Cinnamomum japonicum Sieb. (Lauraceae) and Diptilomiopus heteropanaxsp. nov. infesting Heteropanax fragrans (Roxb.) Seem. (Araliaceae) belong to the Diptilomiopinae (Diptilomiopidae). All three new species are vagrants causing no apparent damage to their host plants. |
