| abstract | A description is given of a new species of oribatid mite, Thyrisoma ovata, from North America. This species differs principally from the Canadian species, T. spinifera (Hammer), and the South American species, T. arcuata (Hammer), in the form of the sensillus, and in the relative position of genital and anal apertures. |
