In regard to Tenuipalpus genus only T. cedrelae, T. swieteniae and T. hurae species are known in Cuba; morphological features of this, donʼt correspond with Imiasʼs species because in it dorsocentrals setas are very short and lanceolate; palpos are 3 segmented and humerals setas are wide and capitate without pubescence. Beside it belong to the mite group which formula is 2×1 because it presents tow pairs of anterior medioventrals setas in combination with one pair of medioventrals setas and penultimate histerosomal flagelate seta.
