abstractThree new species of Metatarsonemus Attiah, 1970 (Acari: Heterostigmatina: Tarsonemidae), M. connexus Karmakar & Mondal sp. nov.,M. infundibulum Karmakar & Mondal sp. nov. and M. diplojuga Karmakar, Ganguly & Mondal sp. nov., are described based on the specimens collected from Annona sp. (Annonaceae), Neolamarckia cadamba (Rubiaceae) and Alstonia scholaris (Apocynaceae) in Central Himalayan biotic province spread across the Kalimpong district of West Bengal, India. Keys to differentiate the females of world Metatarsaonemus species are provided.
