abstractIn this paper two new species of the genus Iphiseius Berlase are described and figured. Iphiseius wangi sp. nov. (figs. a--d) The new species resembles the Iphiseius punicae Gupta 1980, but differs from latter as follows; the lengths of L2 and L3 are shorter in the former and longer in the latter. There are reticulate on the genital plate in the former and none in the latter. The macrosetae on genu, tibia and basitarsus of leg Ⅳ in the former are longer obviously than the latter. There are pores on the ventri-anal plate in the latter and none in the former. The forms of spermathecae are also different between two species. Holotype (?) was collected from the litter of the forest by Yin Suigong on 1988 Ⅷ 12 in Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province. The type specimen is deposited in Department of Plant Protection of Snenyang Agricultural University. Iphiseius xui sp. nov. (figs. a--e) The new species resembles the Iphiseius andamanicus Gupta, 1980, but differs from the latter as follows: except the seta L9, other 9 pairs of setae are longer than 10 in the former and shorter than 10 in the latter. The length and the width of the ventri-anal plate are equal in the former, but the length is longer than the width in the latter. The former is straight in two sides of the ventri-anal plate, and the latter is constricted at the anal region. There are no platelets between the genital and ventri-anal plates in the former, but the latter has a pair of platelets between the genital and ventri-anal plates. Lengths of macrosetae of genu, tibia and basitarsus on leg Ⅳ are also different obviously between two species. Holotype (?) paratype (?), 1990 Ⅶ 7 Cui Yongsheng collected from a herb (Gramineae) in Emei Mountain, Sichuan Province. The type specimens are deposited in Department of Plant Protection, Shenyang Agricultural University.
