| abstract | The paper presents the survey on 34 species of Gamasi mites from different rodents of Transcaucasus. The description of two new species of Gamasid mites of the family Laelaptidae found in Azerbaijan is given. Haemolaelaps modestus, sp.nov., (fig. 1-6) was found on Allactaga elater, allied to H. longipes Breg. and H. androgynus Breg. Laelaspis imitatus, sp.nov., (fig. 7-9) was found on Meriones tristrami. The types of the species are kept in the collection of the Zoological Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The key to the mites of the genus Laelaspis inhabiting Palaearctic is made. |
