abstractOrnithodoros (Alectorobius) boliviensis sp. n. is described from several localities in the province of Beni in northeastern Bolivia. Hosts of the larvae were bats, Myotis nigricans, except for one larva found on Molossus major. Adults and nymphs were taken in bat- and rodent-inhabited houses, and two adults in the process of biting man were collected.
