| abstract | Eight species of Laelaps (including Echinolaelaps) are recorded from Taiwan. New collection records, keys, and illustrations provide information on the host and distributional records and assist in identification. Laelaps prognathus n. sp. is described from Rattus losea. Echinolaelaps fukienensis Wang, 1963, is a new synonym of L. traubi Domrow, 1962; and Laelaps pavlovskyi Zachvatkin, 1948, is a new synonym of L. agilis Koch, 1836. |
