| abstract | Axiogastia dasypi, new genus and species, is described from larvae taken off an armadillo, Dasypus novemcinctus, from Nayarit, México. Larval and nymphal stages are described and figured. Schoengastia neotropicalis Fauran is tentatively placed in Axiogastia, and a closely related species, Aniatrus bifax is reported from Costa Rica for the first time. |
