| abstract | The littoral sand of the Channel and Sweden contains two very similar species of Halacaridae: Halacarus anomalus which is redescribed and a new smaller species Halacarus marcandrei. The differences between the two species are established. The validity of the genus Anomohalacarus Newell is discussed. |
