| abstract | This paper reports 7 new species of Gamasoidea collected from Yunnan and Fukien.
1. Laelaps liui, sp. nov.
Body slightly oval, 830µ in length. Dorsal plate 697µ in length, 367µ in width, with 39 pairs of setae. Genito-ventral plate small, 117µ at the widest point. Distance between Vl1 and Vl4 is 68µ and 35µ. Type specimen collected off Rattus bowersi latouchei in Fukien, 1957.
2. Laelaps chini, sp. nov.
Body oval, 690µ in length, 487µ in width. Dorsal plate 614µ in length, 405µ in width, with 39 pairs of setae. Sternal plate 107µ in length, 163µ in width. Ad about2/3 the length of PA. This mite is similiar to L. clethrionomydis Lange, 1955, but with spearhead-shaped epipharynx, longer sternal plate and rather long adanal setae. Type specimen collected off Rattus flavipectus flavipectus in Yunnan, 1951.
3. Androlaelaps hsui, sp. nov.
Female: Body oval, 867µ in length, 697µ in width. Dorsal plate 808µ in length, 554µ in width, with 39 pairs of setae and 3 accessory setae. Sternal plate 127µ in length, 146µ in width. Genito-ventral plate tongue-shaped, 185µ at the widest point. Male: 592µ in length, 420µ in width. Dorsal plate with 2 accessory setae except the usual 39 pairs. Spermatodactyl as in figure 8. Type specimens collected off Rattus losea exiguus in Fukien, 1962.
4. Androlaelaps singularis, sp. nov.
Body ova1, 697µ in length, 517µ in width. Dorsal plate 652µ in length, 397µ in width, with 39 pairs of setae and 2 accessory setae. Sternal plate as wide as long. Genito-ventral plate 123µ at the widest point. Type specimen collected off Suncus murinus in Fukien, 1960.
5. Androlaelaps trifurcatus, sp. nov.
Body elongate oval, 697µ in length, 375µ in width. Dorsal plate 532µ in length and 286µ in width, with 37 pairs of setae, I2 and I3 absent. Sternal plate 179µ in length, 114µ in width. Genitoventral plate 81µ at the widest point. Type specimen collected off Rattus losea exiguus in Fukien, 1960.
6. Haemogamasus parascaptris, sp. nov.
Body oval, 1176µ in length, 867µ in width. Dorsal plate 808µ in length, 529µ in width. With a special seta in the inner side of palptrochanter. Sternal plate 136µ in length, 149µ in width, St1 situated on presternal area. Genito-ventral plate small, 117µ at the widest point, with 9 accessory setae except the usual 1 pair. Anal plate pear-shaped, with 2 accessory setae cxcept Ad and PA. Type specimen collected off Parascaptor leucurus in Yunnan, 1952.
7. Haemogamasus monticola, sp. nov.
Body oval in shape, 1219µ in length, 1100µ in width. Dorsal plate large, olive-shaped, 1043µ in length, 630µ in width. Chelicerae with spoon-like chelae. Sternalplate 169µ in length, 205µ in width. Genito-ventral plate small, with 48-52 setae. Type specimen collected off Rattus losea exiguus in Fukien, 1958.
