abstractSix of 8 members of Leptotrombidium (Trombiculindus) Radford, 1948, reported herein, from Thailand are new to science and are described and illustrated, viz.: 1) L. (T.) macrosphenum n. sp. ex Tupaia glis and Callosciurus macclellandi; 2) L. (T.) armatum n. sp. ex Tupaia and Rattus, both species from near the Cambodian border; 3) L. (T.) atractimorphe n. sp. ex Rattus, in Loei Province; 4) L. (T.) paniculatum n. sp. ex Menetes and R. rajah in Kanchanaburi, Loei and Khonkhaen Provinces; 5) L. (T.) thurmani n. sp. ex a rat in Chaiyaphum Province and 6) L. (T.) sibynatum n. sp. ex Bandicota bengalensis in Nakhon Nayok Province. Two Malayan species, L. (T.) imbricatum Traub & Nadchatram, 1967 and L. (T.) gateri Traub & Nadchatram, 1967, are also known from Thailand in Chanthaburi and Loei Provinces, respectively.
