| abstract | The subfamily Cheyletiellinae Volgin is raised to familial rank with eight genera. Included are illustrations and keys for each genus. The following new species are described and figures are presented for each: Neocheyletiella callawayae, Ornithocheyletiea hallae, O. lawrenceae, O. gersoni, O. volgini, O. luskoshusi, Cheyletiella blakei, C. furmani, and C. strandtmanni. Illustrated but not described is a species of Cheyletiella taken from silver fox. Cheyletialla parasitivorax (megnin) and Bakericheyla chanayi (Berlese & Trouessart are redescribed and illustrated. |
