| abstract | Loomisia gen.n. is described to receive Euschoengastia desmodus Brennan and Dalmat, 1960 (type species), Trombicula sprocssi Brennan, 1965, T. univari Brennan, 1965, and 3 new species from Venezuela, L. alcithoae off Carollia sp., Barinas, L. bulbocalcar, holotype off Peropteryx kappleri, Carabobo, and L. junkeri, holotype off P. kappleri, Bolivar. A synoptic key to the six species is included. |
