abstractThe family Ameroseiidae includes seven Japanese species belonging to four genera. Of these, four species arenew to science, another is recorded for the first time from Japan, and the other two have already been recroded from the island country. The mites of this family live in litter, haystacks, houses, on flowers or on insects.
