| abstract | In the two sampling plots in the Lamto savanna, the only genus found in the subfamily Imparipedinae, was Imparipes (Imparipes). Species I. (I.) africanus Mahunka, 1964, sub-species I. (I.) hystricinus dispar Rack, 1964 were present. A new species was recorded and described: I. (I.) nummus. This species can be readily recognized by its round-shaped body and a plumose setae on the dorsal shield. The path of the latero-ventral part of the peritrema and of the teanidial duct were observed. |
