| abstract | Vanidicus Brennan & Jones, 1961, synonymized with Pseudoschoengastia by Geest & Loomis (1968), is redescribed and restored to generic status. V. chalepus off Oryzomys albigularis and V. jojosti off Proechimys guyannensis, Venezuela, are described as new. The type species, V. tricosus, is briefly redescribed and descriptive notes of related forms are given. |
