| abstract | Described as new is Hirstionyssus liomys from Liomys irroratus, collected in Cameron Co., Texas. Descriptions and illustrations are given for the female, male and deutonymph. Hirstionyssus perognathi Herrin, 1970 is also recorded from the same host and locality (new distributional records). |
